What Is The PTA?
Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) addresses issues that concern all PS 110 families. All PS 110 parents and teachers are automatically members of the PTA and all families are welcomed and encouraged to work with the PTA toward improving and enriching the educational resources for our children and community relations.
The PTA is on a constant quest for active PTA members, volunteers and donations. Interested in how you can get involved? There are lots of options!
Join Our PTA Meetings!
Families are strongly encouraged to join our monthly PTA meetings to stay informed about the school’s instructional programs, hear updates from our principal, learn about upcoming events, and find out how parents can help the school better serve all students. Free babysitting is provided at all evening PTA meetings for PS 110 students. PTA meeting dates are published on this website, added to our email newsletter and printed on the monthly PTA calendar that is sent home in your child’s backpack.
Fundraising
The PTA raises money in many ways. Each year, we ask all PS 110 families to contribute to the Annual Fund. We also raise money through the Auction for the Arts, Freaky Friday, book fairs, bake sales, and other events. Funds raised through the PTA go toward Arts Enrichment Programs such as:
National Dance Institute
Third Street Music Settlement
Chess
Recess Enhancement Program

The PTA Executive Board is comprised of elected officers of the PTA and committee heads appointed by the PTA President. The Executive Board meets regularly to plan events and fundraising strategies and to organize the agenda for the general PTA meetings.
All PS 110 parents are invited to attend both, these Executive Board meetings and the general PTA meetings. The PTA office is located on the first floor in the gym area.
